            <description>Consumers who miss out on a two-for-one deal in Connecticut may soon get a second chance at the promotion. That is because State Senator Paul Doyle (D-Wethersfield) led passage Wednesday evening of legislation aimed at protecting the interests of consumers. Senate Bill 922 passed the General Law Committee, of which Sen. Doyle is Co-Chair, with bipartisan support.</description>

            <title>Volunteers Participate in North End Service Projects</title>
            <description>In a community-driven effort, members of the North End Action Team (NEAT), elected officials, and Comcast employees congregated in the North End Saturday to participate in a number of volunteer projects. Volunteers performed cleanup work at a community garden on Erin Street and on the grounds of MacDonough Elementary School. They also planted a new community garden in a vacant lot on Portland Street. The garden was a neighborhood proposal for the property, and will serve as a green space for all residents to enjoy.</description>
