“This legislation includes some very important programs that I am glad to see supported. To make sure our youngest kids are ready to learn in school, it funds 1,000 new early childhood slots, most of them in districts like Bridgeport where they are needed most. The bill will also create 20 new school based health centers. Kids who don’t get the medical attention they need don’t perform well in school either.
